Sprinting to the Finish Line – And I don’t mean the running kind
Man, I need to do something about this website. Look, I’m juggling, and sometimes one plate spins in the background, while I’m mixing my metaphors. Never mind the disarray, I’ve got news! I’m a few thousand words away from finishing the draft of The Specter, book four in the Emergence series. Finally. And you know…

Wave Writers Retreat
It’s been months since I’ve written a formal update blog, mainly because I spend most of my energy on YouTube with Cursed Dragon Ship Publishing. But also because I’ve been planning a few exciting opportunities for all you writers out there. This is one of them! Retreat at Sea Most of us write when we…

How I’m Going to Finish Book Four
As many of you have noticed, book four in the Emergence series, The Specter, did not come out in October as it was meant to. I was on time for months, made every goal until near the end. And it took me a good month of revisions and talking with fellow authors and re-reading previous…

Deck of TBRathon
I might have a TBR game problem. This month I’m participating in Deck of TBRathon hosted by Bekah and Chloe. Of course, it’s in addition to HRCYED hosted by Qwordy and Book Challenge by Erin. Once again, gamifying my life works. Deck of TBRathon hosts: @BekahBooksandBujo @AlwaysBooked Hardest Reading Challenge You’ll Ever Do host: @Qwordy …

Many of them are celebrating our authors and friends of ours who have release recent novels. But I also video updates and cool book stuff. Because under all…

Secret Library – Secret to me at least
Hey, I just discovered that all I have to do is hit the search button, and the record your voice thingie pops up and I can just hit record. How cool is that? It’s like it knows I always search for the app, and it’s actually making my life easier. So I guess that means…

Stakes can make or break a story
Time for another blog. I have not been walking lately, so I’m trying dictating in the car on my way to lunch with friends. Well I did the one walk at run club last week but Kevin came along. It’s weird to dictate a blog while walking with a person. Apparently, my mind prefers talking…

Dictating for the First Time
Alright, we’ll see how this works. I have my headphones in now, so I don’t know if it’s going to record up here or on my phone itself. If I have to hold it, it’ll be fine. Anyways, hello! I decided to go ahead and try this texting, like, walking dialogue to dictating. I was…

Trigger Warning by Neil Gaiman
I just finished the short story collection Trigger Warning by Neil Gaiman. It’s full of short stories, poetry, and flash fiction and has been on my Goodreads TBR since 2016. Plus, it fit the anthology category in Book Challenge by Erin 20.0. So finishing this book felt so satisfying, even though I’m not sure I’m…
