Gaming and Giving Charity Drive
Life has been anything but normal lately–for all of us, I know. I keep thinking about how I can help, where can I make a difference. Luckily, we’ve made some friends over the years who do just that. The Legion of Dorks has been hosting a Gaming and Giving Charity Drive for years to raise money for Toys 4 Tots. With so many children suffering through uncertain financial stability, disrupted routines, insecure food sources, and the loss of loved ones, the 2020 Christmas season needs Toys 4 Tots more than ever.
This group of creatives loves to play games, stream podcasts, roleplay Dungeons and Dragons, draw incredible art, and write creative stories. Once a year, they stream games all day with their friends to entertain the masses and raise money for Toys 4 Tots. We decided to partner with Cursed Dragon Ship Publishing to produce an anthology last year to help raise even more.
Laundered – An Anthology of Monster Messes won second place in its category in the North Texas Book Festival. That’s proof of the inherent talent within this group. To keep the money coming in for Toys 4 Tots, as well as feed our creative urges, we put together a second anthology this year: Horizons – An Anthology of Epic Journeys.
This is where you come in. When you purchase either of these books, 50 percent of the proceeds goes to Toys 4 Tots. Once the production costs of the books are paid for, 100 percent of the proceeds will go to Toys 4 Tots. We want to write a big ole check this year, and we can’t without your help. With each ebook or paperback purchase, you’ll not only help an at-risk child get something under their tree, you’ll also have a book’s worth of stories to use as a gift. They make great stocking stuffers (for high school or older readers) or teacher gifts or neighbor greetings or anyone else on that list whose possible present has you puzzled.
